Go to my userinfo , have a look at my interests list, and ask me one question, any question about it. It can be anything, from "Why is X-and-X not on this list?!" to "Why IS X-and-X on this list, what's wrong with you?!" to "OMG, you like X-and-X too? When did you get into it?"

Hmmm, you have Kirk/Spock listed! Something I'd like to ask to most people who ship those two, then: I understand the appeal of the relationship (they have great dynamics), but doesn't Kirk look really really straight to you?

It's something that's always puzzled me...

Definetely Good Omens, a collaboration between him and Terry Pratchett. It has an angel and a demon and the antichrist and it's about the end of the world and you will laugh so hard your chest will hurt. Promise! American Gods is also good, but he's really best in his graphic novels.

I was dreading you'd mention that one. I've trying to find Good Omens for months. The only times I could see it somewhere was precisely when I had no money.

Drats.

I did read American Gods because it was in my local library, thankfully. But I was introduced to Gaiman with The Sandman.

Um, okay, so maybe Kirk does make eyes at everything female, but that doesn't mean he can't be bi! *looks embarassed*

I think it comes down to the fact that they're the most important people to each other (along with McCoy) and they don't have anything approaching that connection with anyone else. I still get teary eyed over Edith Keeler's speech in City on the Edge of Forever. Part of it I think, for me at least, is that I am primarily a friendship shipper; it's the connection that comes first. Sex is an add on.

Plus as my sister puts it: "they're really, really cuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuute."

Detective Academy Q is an adorable, slight retarded mystery anime in which Q Class of Dan's Detective Academy solve murder mystery after murder mystery, all of which were committed through some elgant, fiendihsly complicated 'tricku' rather than a blow to the head by a crow bar in a back alley. And for some reason they're never called for court proceedings. It's really a shounen in which the power ups come through deductive reasoning and the main character is a genki dumb genius! It's extremely cute, despite the large numbers of murders - which can be quite interesting, and it might tell you something that the episode in which the bishounen Detective appears is called - The Bishounen Detective Appears! 45 episodes, subs up to 38, and just now getting into said Bishounen's angsty past!

It's very much colour between the lines, but while I'm watching it? I don't care! Too busy squeaing over the cuteness of Kyuu (protagonist) and Ryuu (bishounen)

You asked for it

Why is loveless in your list?

What, oh what, do you like about Harry Potter?

You've got only fandom-ish things on your list. Prove me wrong, if you can!

^^

(I came by your meme-thingy in Aspen's friends list)

Loveless is on my list because I love this manga/anime. For the characters, for the plot, for the way it plays with the sterotypes of boys love manga, for the darkness and for the way the bonds between two people really are the strongest thing, even when that's not pretty or healthy or even right. It's necessary.

I like Harry Potter for the same reasons I fell in love with it the first time I picked an obscure little paperback out from among the other titles. The details of the world, the characters, and the story. There's little things I'm not happy about with the latest books, but those three things still remain.

Well, this is mainly a fandomish type journal! However, I do have other things there. Namely Shakespeare, and a few of my favourite poets.
