Actually managed to get my
blind_go fics submitted! Am shaking out cramped fingers and feeling nicely pleased with myself - but also kinda 'meh.' The fics I ended up submitting were my 'back up' fics while my main fic, the one whose plot bunny has been nibbling on my ears in the depths of the night, is still sitting half-finished on my hard drive. *Sighs and pokes at said fic* I procrastinated over it for ages since I really wasn't sure if it was quite right for
blind_go, but when I finally realised my brain wasn't going to cough up anything else while it was sitting there and I gave in and started writing it... it was too late to finish it properly. Ah well. 'Twill be a lesson for the next time.
As for now: Murinae's Meme!
1. Rewatched vast quantities of anime, including Yu Yu Hakusho
2. Re-read Hikaru no Go manga <- Does that count as working on it?
3. Finished re-watching Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon and Akira should just count himself lucky he didn't end up in a short-skirted sailor suit.
4. World-built Clow Kngdom.
5. Did some prepatory reading for starting my dissertation - that just proves how desperate I was to procrastinate!
1. I suck at coming up with titles. Okay, that one you probably already knew.
2. I like using metaphors. A lot. Someone needs to rap me on the knuckles and tell me when to stop... I'm better at this sometimes than others.
3. I am a ridculous yaoi/slash fangirl when it comes to watching/fangirling, but when I sit down to write my default is gen.
4. I worldbuild. To a ridculous extent at times - see above. I can become completly stalled on a story because I'm trying desperatly to figure out how the judiciary system of a world works - even though it has no direct relevance to the story!
5. I write piecemeal. A scene here, a fragment of dialogue there, and then I join it up into a coherent whole. It's a habit I'm trying to move past however, since although it works okay with shorter works where I can hold the whole structure in my head it really doesn't work with longer pieces.
