First Line Meme and Prompt Request.

katharosI've seen this meme floating around everywhere and thought it would be intersting to do. :D
Post the first lines from your last 20 stories and look for patterns
1. Zuko shifted surreptiously in his makeshift throne and resisted the urge to tug at his collar. (Avatar: Rail Rage)
2. In the middle of the park the dark seemed to take on an almost living presence. (Detective Academy Q)
3. The storm broke fast and heavy, rolling down over the mountains with screaming winds that seemed to threaten to strip the forests bare and drive all the world before them. (Saiunkoku: The Stories They Tell)

Okay, my first lines tend to be very long... and almost entirely concerned with setting either physical, temporal, or the weather. And I'm very fond of storms and rain. *rueful* Not exactly good first line practice according to all creative writing advice.

Fandoms... any fandom I have ever written in? Also Kamen Rider Kabuto and D.Grayman, my two latest series. Tsubasa maybe not; I am VOLUMES behind the current storyline and have no great incentive to catch up.
