katharosMy netbook appears to be working again! *prods it very cautiously*
It's taken about... two, three months? It was infested with a nest of really nasty stubborn viruses including a search results redirect and the need to restart about ten times everytime I wanted to use it before it would connect to the internet. Multiple anti-virus tries, finally avira has (hopefully) removed it but mangled a bunch of system files in the process. One reboot from disc and frantic begging and borrowing of an external dvd drive later I THINK it is clear. *prayers fervently*
On the plus side a now know a lot more about the insides of my system than I did before! This is good. *pets control panel*
