Continuing thoughts on the politics of Kurogane's world...

In the official english translation of Volume 6, when Kurogane first sees the Oto version of Souma he demands 'You're not running with Amateresu, are you?!' Hyu has it as 'Don't tell me you're here with that Sun Goddess?!' which while suggesting that Kurogane doesn't much like his Empress, doesn't carry the political implications of Del Reys. (Be With You translates it as 'Don't tell me 'tente' is here as well' which doesn't really help...) Anyway, Del Rey's version is interesting as it suggests that there are factions within the government of Japan - that Tomoyo and her sister are at least slightly opposed, enough that if Souma was to accompany Amateresu that would be seen as a declaration of loyalty...

Huh, interesting.

Spanish version says

"What are you doing here?! Is princess Tomoyo with you?! Don't tell me you're also with Amaterasu, the sun goddess!"

Now that I think about it, it could also sort of imply something political. I didn't give it so much thought (besides the "Kendappa/Souma yay" thing) so I just took the literal meaning.
