Three Weeks till Next Exam! Also, Bruno and Boots

Have I mentioned how much I love my exam schedule? Because I really, really do. Tipping over into monday, I'm looking forward to (almost) three weeks before my second (and last) exam. Which is especially nice because I haven't had a moments pause for the last fortnight. Shakespeare exam friday and creative writing portfolio due the friday before that. Did not help that I came down with a viral infection three days before my exam.

Yesterday Anime Soc held a Wii part which was enormous fun and I made an absolute fool of myself leaping around with a Wii controller which was a large part of the fun, though arms are aching today. Totally worth it, came second in the boxing tournament against the guy who KO'ed his previous opponents in like ten seconds. And I had him on the ropes I tell you, the ropes.

But today, ah, today. Had a lie in to ridiculous time. THought I might try writing some of the fanfic I've been itching to write for two weeks (majo_chan I haven't forgotten your fic, honest, though you might have by now *guilty smile*) but then what did I do? Moesed on over to ninjatrauma's latest pimping post, though 'hmm' and... Well, it's getting dark now. All I have done today is read about Bruno and Boots. (And Cathy and Diane and The Fish and god, where were these books when I was twelve?)

I -I think there was something lacking in my life and I never knew it till now. I have killed myself laughing multiple times today. And, yeah, the one with the American Football? Good thing I found Eyeshield 21 before this otherwise I'd have had no clue what was going on but I kept having to pause to put my head down on my desk and just shake for a little while as my brain tried to decide whether a Hiruma/Bruno or a Hiruma/Cathy pairup would be more likely to make the universe implode.

Meanwhile, Boots and Kurita are over in the corner having cake.

I'm in high school and I'm jealous of your exam schedule. :D I have portfolios, standardized tests, and final exams left and right from now until mid-June!

Enjoyed is something of an understatement. The amount of deranged giggling filling this room today-------!!

I just could not stop thinking about Eyeshield crossovers during that book which is a bad thing because I drifted away after the anime took a downswoop during the American Trip Arc and now somewhere out in the wide internet I can hear scanlations calling me. :(

I - I kinda want to see Hiruma v The Fish. Does this make me a bad person? *offers to pay for the headmaster's migraine killing drugs*

I'm really glad they seem to be going over well, because I read them when I was so young, I wondered (just a little) if maybe they wouldn't hold up after all these years. It's gratifying to know that they're still readable to new fans who aren't the original intended audience.

I never managed to get more than a couple of episodes into the ES21 anime, I'm more of a manga fan, so you should absolutely pick up the manga so I can get a kick in the pants to pick it back up again, too and contemplate this crossover more.

Because I would love to see The Fish try to deal with someone like Hiruma. Or, god, Miss Scrimmage and Hiruma. I'm not sure whose gun I would be more afraid of.

The War Against Mr Wizzle was a bit bizarre to read - and a little sad, considering that the Bruno and Boots of the world might have won the battle but they'd lost the war.

*laughs* We watched the first few episodes in anime soc and everyone turned into scary, scary fans. I think it carries well until about mid the American Matches and the manga's not quite the same without hearing Hiruma cackle but the characterisations and storyline are a lot sharper.

BRUNO & BOOTS. ♥ I have yet to find a single person whose read the books and doesn't enjoy them crazy amounts. I am among those who loved it silly, if that wasn't obvious, heh.

I would love Hiruma/any of the characters, actually. Feel free to wriiiite it. ;)

AHAHA. I am over 100 chapters behind on ES21. D: I don't know how it happened! Oh wait--real life. Other fandoms. Crap.

But if you see the love that is Bruno/Boots (unless Becky has persuaded you as to the awesomeness of Boots/Cathy, which I also think is cute and viable), I have fic recs! Fic recs! By which pretty much mean everything here.
