Just defeated the third boss - a golem. Almost got myself killed due to having an attack of squee when I saw the word EMET carved into its arm. God this game! The details! *sparkles* And there was Sydeney carving runes into the stone floor with his claws - lovely and shivery. And Hardin breaking out in exasperation over Sydney's 'Everything is proceeding according to plan' calm - the Duke's betrayl, an army of Blades and one-man battalion Riskbreaker - this is according to your plan?! And Sydeney gives him this look and Hardin swallows and shuts up. No, Sydney would never be in less than perfect control of the entire world, thank you. (And how far is that the case? *impatient*
I'm warming to Merlose. Sure, she was exposition-girl before becoming the hostage-girl but at least she is a professional hostage, paying more attention to the plans being discussed by the enemy right in front of her than her own personal survival.
Next is across the underground river! Settings are awesome still. Love the rooms where the roof has cracked open and the light spills in. And the names of the rooms!
